Coutinho Keen For Liverpool Player To Join Him At Barcelona

Former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho is keen for Alberto Moreno to team up with him at Spanish champions Barcelona in the New Year.

The Brazilian playmaker secured a big money move to Spain during the penultimate transfer window in January and the former Inter Milan player has been in good form for the Nou Camp outfit.

This is in continuation of his good form for the Brazilian national team in the summer.

Coutinho impressed a great deal for Brazil during this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia before they were eliminated by the Red Devils of Belgium in their quarterfinal clash.

According to the report from Sportswitness, Philippe Coutinho wants Alberto Moreno to link up with him at Barcelona ahead of fellow Spanish side Sevilla.

The 26-year-old left-back is on his way out of the club with less than a year left on his current contract at Liverpool.

He is almost certain that he won’t be extending his Reds career beyond 2019 and that has led to talks linking him with a return back to Sevilla.

The Spanish international player had joined Liverpool in 2014 in a deal reported to be around £12m after helping his boyhood club win the first of three successive Europa League titles.
