Premier League Giants Won’t Block £30m From Leaving Club

Three-time European Champions Manchester United won’t prevent defender Eric Bailly from leaving the club during the upcoming transfer window in the New Year.

The Ivorian international star has fallen out of favour with club manager Jose Mourinho thereby leading to transfer links about a transfer away from the club.

He has started just four of the last 17 Premier League games for Manchester United.

His last league outing came over a month ago during the 3-2 win over Newcastle United at Old Trafford.

Eric Bailly featured in the game from the start but lasted just 19 minutes after he was replaced by Spanish international playmaker Juan Manuel Mata with his side trailing 2-0.

Mata pulled one back for the home side with a 70th minute freekick before Anthony Martial equalised for the Red Devils six minutes later.

Chilean substitute Alexis Sanchez scored the winning goal just before the end of the game to give the Red Devils a 3-2 win.

That proved to be the catalyst in their recent impressive run of three wins and one draw from four league games.

Bailly has not played for Manchester United in the league since then.

Man United Star Prepared To Sign Lucrative Contract Amidst PSG, Juventus Transfer Rumours

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is prepared to sign a contract extension at the club according to reports emanating from the British media.
According to the publication from the stables of the Daily Mail, the Spanish international will put pen to paper a new contract worth at least £300,000 per week as well as bonuses that could take his earnings to the £500,000 mark.
Flop Alexis Sanchez is the highest paid player at Manchester United with wages and bonuses running to around £500,000 on a weekly basis following the four-and-a-half year deal that he signed in January 2018 when he joined from top four rivals Arsenal in a swap deal involving Armenian star Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
David De Gea has been attracting interests from clubs like French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Italian club Juventus with his long-term future still uncertain at Manchester United.
The Spaniard had six months remaining on his contract at Old Trafford before the club decided to exercise the additional year clause to take him to the end of the 2019/20 season at Manchester United.
The Red Devils might be forced to sell him in the summer when he’ll have just one year left on his contract without the option of any clause.

Mourinho will work on Thursday’s Asian Cup group match between Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

And he will then be an analyst for Saturday’s Premier League game between Arsenal and his former club Chelsea.”

Marouane Fellaini could be the first to be hit by the new wave at Old Trafford

Man Utd are under new management with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the new coach but in an interim role pending a final decision at the end of the season.

The Norway international since taking over from Jose Mourinho in December has made some tremendous changes in the team.

He has led the Red Devils to six victories in a row and hope to make it the 7th when they come face to face with Brighton on Saturday.

However, the arrival of the new coach seems to be affecting some players as well.

The likes of Pogba, Sanchez, who have struggled to get enough playing chances under Jose Mourinho are now playing well under the new coach.

But Man Utd midfielder and Belgium international, Marouane Fellaini is already feeling out of place in the squad.

The Belgium star used to be one of Mourinho’s key players when he wants a job done on the pitch.

But it looks like he will be the first to be hit by the new change at Old Trafford.

Carlo Ancelotti lands transfer blow on Man Utd says this centre back is going nowhere

Man Utd are hoping to bolster their defense line by bringing in a new center back defender before the close of the January transfer window.

The Red Devils have been linked with moves to sign Senegal international and Napoli center back, Kalidou Koulibaly, with reports stressing that Man Utd were ready to pay the sum of £90 million to sign him.

A previous report had stated that Kalidou Koulibaly is keen on leaving the Italian league over racial abuse.

However, the Naples coach, Carlo Ancelotti has made it known that the defender will not leave the club.

Ancelotti in a statement quoted by Goal.com said,

“In England they write that Koulibaly can leave because of the problem of racism.

“I do not think so, Koulibaly is happy in Naples, he’s upset like others, but it will not be a trigger for a goodbye.

“He never showed it, he wants to stay in Naples and in Italy, a country he likes very much.”

After the incident at San Siro and his red card, Koulibaly said: “I am sorry about the loss and above all to have left my brothers [out on the pitch].

“However I am proud of my skin colour. To be a French, Senegalese and Neapolitan man.”

Jamie Carragher hits back at Paul Ince over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Former Man Utd player, Paul Ince following the Red Devils win over Tottenham Hotspur stressed that anyone could have turnaround Man Utd the way Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had done.

However, Jamie Carragher, who happens to have become a big fan of the Norway international slammed Paul Iance as he said it was a rubbish talk.

“A lot has been written about Solskjaer and everything being very, very positive on the surface,” he told Sky Sports.

“I think underneath that, a lot of people were looking at it before the Spurs game and thought: ‘Anyone could have gone in there and done that’. It’s nonsense. It’s absolute nonsense.

“He’s made big decisions by leaving people out – [Romelu] Lukaku, an £80 million striker, on the bench. When he’s brought him on he’s made an impact.

“You think of Jose Mourinho, people were saying these games were easy. Last season, when Manchester United finished second and got to an FA Cup final, Mourinho lost three games to promoted teams.

“So it’s not easy to go and wipe the floor with these teams. He’s [Solskjaer] made a great start to his career.”

Carragher hinted that the Red Devils have regained their confidence under the new interim coach.

Man Utd will face Brighton on Saturday in what can be their 7th win in a row.

‘Man Utd wouldn’t need to sign Mauricio Pochettino’ – Dimitar Berbatov

Following the departure of Jose Mourinho as Man Utd coach in December, 2018, Tottenham Hotspur coach, Mauricio Pochettino had been tipped to be the best replacement at the end of the season.

However, former Man Utd striker, Dimitar Berbatov have a contrary opinion of the whole signing.

He hinted that Man Utd wouldn’t need to bring in Mauricio Pochettino at the end of the season if Solskjaer continues to play the team to victory.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not made his desired to remain at Man Utd a secret and he could finally seal the move having convinced the club board after they defeated Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

“If Solskjaer is going the way he’s going, I don’t think they are going to offer [Pochettino] the job,” Berbatov told talkSPORT.

“But if they offer [the job to] him, it’s difficult because again it’s like football players. When a big club comes…

“For me I want him to stay there and Solskjaer continue to do the job at Man U.”

The former Red Devils striker on whether Solskjaer has already done enough to earn the permanent role said: “For the moment. Because the season is long, let’s wait to see what happens.

“I’m not a manager so I cannot allow myself to give judgement on other managers because I’m not there yet.

“But I enjoy what I see in those five, six games. I enjoy what I see on the pitch and you can see that something has changed.”

Man Utd set to offer highly rated 27-year-old Senegal international a deal

The Red Devils are hoping to use the January transfer window to correct their weakness in the defense area.

And they have been linked with Senegal international and Napoli center back defender, Kalidou Koulibaly.

Prior to the departure of former coach Jose Mourinho in December, 2018, the Portuguese had disclosed his interest to sign a new center back in the summer transfer window but the board refused to support him financially.

The board inaction was part of the reasons behind the woeful performance of the Red Devils this season.

However, since the arrival of the new interim coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the team seems to have picked up once again.

But Solskjaer like Mourinho has also noticed the weakness at the back.

Man Utd board are also aware of the weakness and are ready to make move for a new center back defender.

According to an exclusive report by the Mirror, the Red Devils are set to make an offer to lure Kalidou Koulibaly away from Napoli.

Napoli are demanding at least £90 million for the Senegalese.

If Man Utd finally sign Koulibaly, he will overtake Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk as the most expensive defender in the world.
