Ex-Chelsea Boss Lost Man Utd Job Due To Poor Results

Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho lost his job at Manchester United due to poor results according to Red Devils midfielder Paul Pogba.

The French World Cup winner dismissed suggestions that player power led to the sacking of Mourinho at Manchester United.

Pogba has talked about the unceremonious exit of Jose Mourinho publicly for the first time.

In a chat with Sky Sports, Pogba revealed that the Portuguese tactician was dismissed as the Manchester United manager because of poor results and not player power as suggested in some section of the media.

According to the French World Cup winner, Mourinho lost his job as the Manchester United manager after senior club officials felt the need for a change in the wake of poor results.

Pogba and Mourinho had a frosty relationship before the former Chelsea and FC Porto manager was sacked and many football stakeholders believe that the Frenchman played a major role in his dismissal.

Jose Mourinho led Manchester United to their worst start to a Premier League season and he was sacked immediately after the 3-1 loss to Liverpool in December.

Pogba didn’t play well under Mourinho especially in the weeks leading up to his dismissal but all that has changed since the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer towards the end of last year.

Paul Pogba has scored nine goals in just 19 games under Solskjaer and he has been the standout player for a Manchester United team chasing honours in both the Premier League and the Champions League.
