Jamie Carragher advices Rashford to leave Manchester United for Everton

Ex Liverpool player, Jamie Carragher has advised Marcus Rashford to leave Manchester United to play as a center forward, and the game against Switzerland in an international friendly showed why Everton should be in front of the line.

England beat Switzerland 1-0 in a very boring international friendly last night, and the only ones that were a joy to watch were Danny Rose and Marcus Rashford.

Rose was selected as the man of the match, but United youngster, Rashford showed another time how good he can be if he has the opportunity to play as a striker.

The 20-year-old scored the only goal of the game to give England victory, showing the quality of a real striker at the far post as he slotted home Kyle Walker’s cross and Carragher believes he needs to leave Manchester United to play as a center forward.

Romelu Lukaku is ahead of Rashford and I do not see Rashford taking his place while he’s there, Carragher said.

But remember when Lukaku was in Chelsea and had to go to Everton. Then he finished as top scorer and secured his move to Man United. Possibly Everton is the kind of club you’re looking for, just below the first six, for someone like Rashford, similar to what Lukaku did, he added.

Manchester United fans would not want Rashford to leave but it is absolutely true that he is not likely to get enough playing because Mourinho prefers Lukaku there, and his performances in England have shown that he would be a better option to Cenk Tosun for Everton.

The young man seems to have the ability to be in the right place at the right time, an instinct that is not really used when José Mourinho keeps him on the wings.

He played three shots in the game, one of which was the winning goal. He did the same against Spain, taking the most shots on the field and scoring England’s only goal calmly.

He also completed a key pass and a dribble in the match, and this excellent skill in the ball would help Everton style of play much more than new buy Tosun, who prefers to play more like a target striker.

Bayern Hand Man United Huge Boost In Pursuit Of James Rodriguez

Five-time European giants Manchester United have been handed a huge boost over their long-term transfer target ahead of the upcoming transfer window scheduled to begin as from the 1st of January.

This is as a result of widespread media reports claiming that German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich won’t sign Colombian international playmaker James Rodriguez permanently at the end of his two-year loan deal with the club.

He was recently part of the Colombia squad that didn’t make it past the first knockout stage at this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.

The South Americans were knocked out by England via penalties in the round of 16.

James Rodriguez is currently a Bayern Munich player after he signed for the five-time European champions on a two-year loan deal from European champions Real Madrid.

He had a very good first season and that prompted talks of a permanent deal to the Allianz Arena.

That has however changed in the new season after he fell out with Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac.

The former AS Monaco and FC Porto player has questioned his lack of game time with Bayern Munich since the Croatian tactician took over in the summer.
