Chelsea Receive Huge Transfer Boost In Piatek Pursuit

West London side Chelsea have been handed a major transfer boost in their pursuit of Genoa striker Krzysztof Piatek ahead of the next transfer window in January.

The transfer boost stems from the news that Spanish champions Barcelona have hit a big problem in their bid to sign the 23-year-old.

According to the report from Don Balon, Barcelona superstar and talisman Lionel Messi is opposed to the idea of signing the in-form Piatek and it’s mainly due to the special relationship he has with current first choice Barcelona striker Luis Suarez.

Messi’s reluctance on a transfer for Polish international striker Piatek could give Chelsea a clear run to sign him when the transfer window reopens in January.

Krzysztof Piatek leads the scoring chart in this season’s Italian Serie A campaign after netting nine goals in the first eight games of the season.

He was also on target for Poland in their UEFA Nations League loss to European champions Portugal on Thursday night.

The game was his debut for Poland and Piatek scored to give his side an 18th minute lead but the hosts could not hold on to that advantage as Portugal came from behind to win 3-2 and boost hopes of a last four spot.

In-form Piatek could be the long-term solution to the Blues’ striking problems this season.

The central striker duo of France World Cup winner Olivier Giroud and Spanish striker Alvaro Morata have failed to comvince that they can score for the club on a consistent basis.

Bayern Hand Man United Huge Boost In Pursuit Of James Rodriguez

Five-time European giants Manchester United have been handed a huge boost over their long-term transfer target ahead of the upcoming transfer window scheduled to begin as from the 1st of January.

This is as a result of widespread media reports claiming that German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich won’t sign Colombian international playmaker James Rodriguez permanently at the end of his two-year loan deal with the club.

He was recently part of the Colombia squad that didn’t make it past the first knockout stage at this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.

The South Americans were knocked out by England via penalties in the round of 16.

James Rodriguez is currently a Bayern Munich player after he signed for the five-time European champions on a two-year loan deal from European champions Real Madrid.

He had a very good first season and that prompted talks of a permanent deal to the Allianz Arena.

That has however changed in the new season after he fell out with Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac.

The former AS Monaco and FC Porto player has questioned his lack of game time with Bayern Munich since the Croatian tactician took over in the summer.

Liverpool Fans Demand Jadon Sancho Transfer

Liverpool fans have demanded for manager Jurgen Klopp to splash the cash on young Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho ahead of the January transfer window.

According to footballfancast, Liverpool fans were impressed with the 18-year-old after he made his full debut for England in the international friendly victory over the United States of America at the Wembley Stadium on Thursday night.

Jadon Sancho didn’t score but he provided an assist for Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold to score the second goal for the Three Lions.

He was the best player on the pitch by a country mile as England defeated their opponents 3-0 courtesy goals from Manchester United star Jesse Lingard, the aforementioned Alexander-Arnold and Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson.

Sancho had earlier made his England debut in October during the goalless draw with surprise World Cup finalists Croatia in the UEFA Nations League.

The former Manchester City player recently signed a new contract with Borussia Dortmund but that has not stopped him from being linked with a transfer to several English sides with reports claiming that at least £100m will be required to sign him.

Premier League sides like Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have all been linked with the young forward.

Chelsea Set To Sign Liverpool Target From Dortmund

2012 Champions League winners Chelsea have reportedly won the battle to sign Liverpool target Christian Pulisic when the transfer window reopens in six weeks time.

Pulisic, 20, has been a long-term target of the Reds but it seems like they have been beaten to his signature by their Premier League title rivals Chelsea.

According to the report from trusted English media outlet Daily Mail, the Blues have won the keenly contested race to sign him ahead of both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

It was further claimed that Chelsea want to sign him in the January transfer window and that it could be a world record transfer for the United States of America international.

The Blues set a new record transfer fee in the summer when they paid Athletic Bilbao around £70m for Spanish international goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Christian Pulisic has not featured like he would have wanted this season in the colours of Borussia Dortmund and that’s partly due to the sensational form of England international forward Jadon Sancho.

The former Manchester City player has light up the German Bundesliga stadiums with his performances.

Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea were initially expected to do a deal for Pulisic in the summer but the Blues have decided to fast forward to January.
