Why Arsenal withdraw their offer when Aaron Ramsey was about sign

Arsenal midfielder, Aaron Ramsey’s current contract will lapse at the end of the season and he is as good as gone.

Well, prior to the fall out between Arsenal and the midfielder, the Gunners had plans to extend his stay at Emirate Stadium with the new coach, Unai Emery stating on his arrival that the Welshman is an important player and could end up becoming the club’s captain in future – all of which is likely to be in the past now.

Arsenal FC however, withdraw their offer before Aaron Ramsey could sign it.

According to a report, the Gunners couldn’t meet up with his demand which was specifically on a wage increment because they were incurring high expenditures as high as £200 million per year.

Aaron Ramsey wanted his wage increased to that of Mesut Ozil, who is the highest paid player at Arsenal receiving the sum of £300,000 per week.

After spending a decade at Arsenal, Aaron Ramsey will be leaving the club as a free agent and report made it known that he already has interest from Juventus, Barcelona among others.

Aaron Ramsey won three-time FA Cup and scored 58 goals in 335 appearances for Arsenal.

Why Arsenal dropped out of the move to sign this defender from Besiktas

One of the main problems in the Arsenal squad is their poor defense.

The Gunners had plans to correct this weakness in their team during the last summer transfer window.

One of the players Arsenal had in mind to solve the problem at the back was Croatia international and Besiktas defender, Domogoj Vida.

According to reports Arsenal FC had made moves to sign Vida in the summer transfer window.

In fact, the North London club had reportedly tabled a bid worth £12 million for Domogoj Vida.

But Besiktas had another option in mind which was a swap deal, according to report, the Turkish side wanted Arsenal goalie, David Ospina as part of the deal that would see Vida move to Arsenal.

The Gunners were however not impressed with the deal Besiktas brought to the table because to them David Ospina was worth more.

Instead of signing David Ospina to the Turkish side, Arsenal signed him off to the Naples on loan.

Besiktas had tried to sign out Domogoj Vida to any interested club because they were in need of cash but since no deal brokered out, he would remain at the club at least until the next summer.

Why Arsenal could be quiet in the Winter transfer window in January

English football club, Arsenal made some signings in the last summer transfer window owing to the departure of the former coach, Arsene Wenger and the arrival of Unai Emery as the new coach.

The Gunners are known to not always sign new players and if they do, it would always be towards the end of the transfer windows but the last summer transfer window was quite different as they wrap up the deal on time probably to encourage the new coach.

However, there have been questions on whether Arsenal will participate in the coming winter transfer window in January.

A report has made it known that it will be quiet at Arsenal in the January transfer window.

According to Arsenal’s head of football, Raul Sanllehi, the January transfer window is meant to solve unexpected problems.

Raul Sanllehi added that “unless something special comes up, in principle, the winter window is not one that we are really interested in.”

This means the Gunners will likely not participate in the January transfer window.

The only problem they have is Danny Welbeck, who is currently on injury and they have promoted Eddie Nketiah to solve the problem.
